Spinal Therapy

Spinal Decompression Therapy involves stretching the spine, using a traction table or similar motorized device, with the goal of relieving back pain and / or leg pain. The primary symptoms of degenerative spinal disorders are sharp and/or chronic pain, weakness, limited motion, and sensory loss. If spinal degeneration leads to compression or injury of the spinal cord, weakness and limited motion may increase significantly.

Cervical Therapy

Cervical spondylosis, also known as cervical osteoarthritis or neck arthritis, is a common, age-related condition that affects the joints and discs in your neck.

Cervical Spondylosis is a kind of Arthritis characterised by osteophyte growth in the spine that affects cervical vertebrae and is characterized by pain at the back of the neck (radiating towards the upper limbs) and vertigo while bending downwards.

Knee Therapy

The pain of knee osteoarthritis and damage affected joints, Being overweight makes these problems worse by increasing abnormal forces through the knee.

Knee pain is a common symptom in people of all ages. It may start suddenly, often after an injury or exercise.  Knee pain may also begin as a mild discomfort and may slowly get worse. There are several reasons for knee pain to occur. It can either be pain related to the knee joint itself or number of diseases can also effects the Knee joint.2

Sciatica Therapy

The symptoms of leg pain and possibly tingling, numbness, or weakness that originate in the lower back and travel through the buttock and down the large sciatic nerve.

Sciatica is a general term for pain originating from the sciatic nerve. Sciatica is a symptom of a disorder that causes mild to sharp and sometimes excruciating pain. Patients have described sciatic pain as mildly disturbing to burning, aching, deep, and similar to a sudden bolt of lightning. Sciatic nerve pain travels from the buttock, down the back of the thigh, and into the leg. 

Frozen shoulder Therapy

To manage your frozen shoulder, an appropriate pain management therapy along with a physical therapy to improve range of motion is important.

For pain management, painkillers to relieve the frozen shoulder pain are recommended. These include oral medicines like paracetamol and in some cases, corticosteroid injections. Physical therapy becomes very important in the later stages of the condition when there is debilitating pain and stiffness felt. Physical therapy would normally include shoulder exercises, physiotherapy techniques, massages, etc.

Paralysis Therapy

Stroke/Paralysis is defined as the rapid onset of focal neurological deficit resulting from diseases of the cerebral vasculature and its contents. Stroke represents the third most common cause of death in developed nations. The prevalence of stroke in India is approximately 200 per 100,000 persons and 9.94% of total deaths.

In Ayurveda, Paralysis is termed as Pakshaghata which means “paralysis of one half of the body” where “paksha” denotes either half of the body and “Aghata (=paralysis)” denotes the impairment of body movements and mental stability.

Joint Pain Therapy

Joint pain is a common problem most people would experience. It may be a pain in the knee, hip, or spine. When joint pain is chronic, then it becomes a serious problem. Joint pain can occur due to wear and tear of the cartilages. It may occur due to injury or could be the result of a disease like arthritis. Whatever be the reason, joint pain can be debilitating. It can affect normal routines and make things difficult for the sufferer. While conventional medicines may provide immediate relief, they have side effects that are a concern. Ayurveda helps to offer safe and natural management for joint pain. Myaxyl oil is a pain relief Ayurvedic oil that helps in effectively managing joint pain.

Vocal Cord Therapy

Vocal fold cysts, otherwise called as vocal cord cyst, are benign masses formed on the membranous vocal folds. Present line of treatment in contemporary medical science is surgery followed by supplementary voice therapy. There are high chances of recurrence of the cyst after surgical excision. This report deals with a single case which was effectively managed with ayurvedic intervention.

Migraine Therapy

Migraine is a widespread, chronic and intermittently disabling disorder characterized by recurrent headaches with or without aura. Recent studies estimate the prevalence of migraine at about 6-8% in men and 12-15% in women. In terms of actual numbers of attacks, combined figures from prevalence and incidence studies suggest 3000 migraine attacks occur every day for each million of the general population. The rate of migraine varies globally, and although there is a lack of epidemiological data available in many countries at present, recent anecdotal evidence suggests higher rates in certain places like India.

Facial Paralysis Therapy In Ayurveda

Even though all these may lead into the infection and injury as cited by modern medicine, understanding the basic causes for the illness help us to prevention / proper treatment of facial paralysis.

Ayurvedic text books refer facial paralysis with the name ‘Ardita’. Word meaning of Ardita is – ‘the condition caused due to unusual (vitiated/shifted/took the opposite pathway) function of Vata, which turns the mouth/face in opposite direction’.
